Kelsey (She/Her) is an industrial design professional working to enable sustainable and circular innovative solutions. She explores social and environmental innovation, and the way that system, service and product design intermingle. She is interested in disruptive design, it's interaction with communities, and it’s potential to incite change. She dabbles in linocut and printmaking, urban farming, and getting lost in the woods.

Loop Global

Founding team member of the Loop circular platform, an industry-leading reusable packaging platform. Developed methods for consumers to return packaging safely and conveniently across e-commerce and retail platforms for Fortune 500 CPG, QSR, and Retail companies.

Developed and launched secure packaging return points globally enabling a network of convenient in-store reusable packaging options for consumers; worked cross-functionally to develop safety and accessibility standards that adhere with all local and client regulations, and ensured integration into consumer, retail, and operational blueprints.

Developed and deployed secure direct-to-consumer reusable shipping vessels globally, eliminating single use packaging in e-commerce circular pilot programs.

Utilized design thinking approaches to identify and prioritize innovative circular pilot opportunities within CPG, QSR and Retail frameworks, design innovative services, and measure the impact of circular services.

Strategized and refocused departmental services to better align with and enable brand partners’ SDG goals. Lead to an increase in departmental efficiency and creative cross-departmental collaboration.

Developed product design frameworks that facilitated partners’ transitions to circular business models and closed-loop supply chains.

Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative circular recycling pilot programs for major CPG partners; used industry-leading technology to increase impact and adoption rates with users. Lead the development and launch of a technology-enabled diaper collection unit & pilot program with P&G that reached over 500 users.

Developed and manufactured goods utilizing waste products for brand partners; highlighted the history and lifecycle the material to add value to the product and brand messaging.

Developed and produced products for high-profile clients to promote recycling and upcycling through technology enabled recycling units, sculptures, and upcycled products.

Managed Design Fellowship program across Loop and TerraCycle, managing the project-load and individualized development opportunities for up to 6 Fellows at a time.

Brewerytown Bakery & Bagels

Planned, launched, and manage the continuing operation of a fully plant-based retail bakery - increasing accessibility of fresh Philadelphia-local bread, pastries, and bagels to the neighborhood community.

Worked with the product design team to create and build projects that meaningfully showcase the littleBits modules to guide and inspire users. Lead user testing sessions for products in development.
